STORAGE Basics:-
File System- Disk layout to read data/write the data.

Windows
FAT-  File system allocation
NTFS- New Technology File System
Unix
File System- ext3/ext4
ex- extended file system
- ext3- ext2+journal form- developed from  version 3.0
ext3 is essential file system,easily migrate from ext2 to ext3
- ext4- ext3+journal form- developed from  version 6.0
ESX/ESXi-
VMFS- vmware file system

VMFS 3/VMFS5/6

Featurs-
we can share the hard disk
Sharing is very freely work.
DATASTORE- 
A LUN formated with VM's
LUN- Logical Unit Number

Types of Storages
1.FC - Fiber Channel
2.ISCSI- Internet Small Computer Syatem Interface.
3.NAS- NETWORk Attached Storage.

FC- Datawill pass light signel format

ISCSI- Cables(electronic cable like) performance bit slow than FCcost is low.

NAS-  Less cost .

HBA- host Bus Adapter
WWN- World Wide number or Name
ADD FC to Host-

1.VMWare WWn info
2.SAN-map LUN with specific host
3.VM- create datastore.

Locate WWN info:-
ESXi- Configration-> storage Aapter-> copy 
Creaye Datastore-
ESXi-configration->
